I recently downloaded EXCELAN packet drivers and related files from

VAX.FTP.COM
 
I also went through the Clarkson stuff on various FTP servers.
 
   device=c:\lanman\excfg.bin
   device=c:\lanman\protman.dos /I:\LANMAN
   device=c:\lanman\dis_pkt.dos
   device=c:\lanman\xln2x5.dos 

I have the above lines in my config.sys and 

   set EXCELAN=C:\XLN
   set NAME=barryf

   prompt $p$g

   c:\lanman\pktint
   call c:\xln\bin\tcp
   c:\xln\bin\telapi

in my autoexec.bat file.
 
I receive no error messages after/during loading all this, though I receive
NO PACKET DRIVER LOADED error messages when I try to run various applications
(WATTCP's TCPINFO, PING, etc.). Win QVTNET 1.6x exits to DOS when I try to
run it. I also tried to run a POP2/3 mail program from UMN.EDU with similar
results.
 
On the otherhand, all EXCELAN utilities work (I am using their TELNET app
now). The board and connections check out, etc.
 
Anyone with an EXCELAN 205T (w/256k RAM) or similar lan adapter with similar
problems or a working set of config.sys and autoexec.bat files please email
me or post to the list.
