There have been several queries recently about the availability
of an inference engine for C++.  A company called Baldur Systems
is selling a product called "The C/C++ Library for Expert Systems".
Windows and non-Windows are available.  Price is $49.50.  The
literature I've received is unclear whether source is included.
The product includes:

  * Friendly user interface
  * Knowledge base construction
  * Rule base and fact base
  * Inference engine, including meta-level, forward, and backward
    reasoning
  * Lisp to C conversion utility
