I can only suppose that no one at the IEEE reads that address, for although the mail did not bounce I have not heard anything from them. Perhaps someone on the network can send me details of the cost involved in joining the society. I would like to join as a student member. I would also like to join the IEEE Computer Society. I have three different application forms, but the only one which mentions student rates is thee years out of date. Why does the periodical Computer (from the IEEE Computer Society) contain an application form which does not consider student applications? Surely this is a mistake. I would be grateful for any information. I am resident in the UK (strathclyde university). Gordon Russell
