With fdisk from Minix a make two partition, first from Cylinder 0 two 600, and the secound from Cylinder 601 to 614. During the run of readall -b /dev/hd1 > bad.1 I got message on the screen: unrecoverable disk error on device 3/1, block 10794 . . 10802 After the run of the shell script bad.1 I got no Files with the name .Bad_2. When I run fdisk I get two bad blocks in the inode table.. and to my surprise I get the message device not mounted, when I run /etc/umount /dev/hd1 In the manual I read, that I should repartition the disk with different sizes, until I get no bad blocks in the i-node . Now my question. How can I do this?, why is the disk not mounted after the run of the shell script ?, and why are there no files with the names .Bad__ ? Thanks for your help.
