I purchased the Prentice Hall release (1.5.10), successfully applied the patches and compared the checksums. I made a 386 boot floppy with shoelace and it boots all the way to the point where init execs login. I see the "login:" prompt but it doesn't get any input from the keyboard. Eventually, login is suspended (pending keyboard input) and it never comes back. I'm having a hard time thinking of anything that could be wrong that wouldn't also be true of the non 386 setup. Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated. Ken Seymour seymour@astech.ast.saic.com
