It works just fine when connected to a local modem... But, when I use NetSerial to communicate over a network the Apple Modem Tool crashes with 'zero divide' when I call CTBOpen(). There is no problem with my CTB-code; I get exactly the same behaviour with MacTerminal 3.0 and the Modem Tool. I dont want to support a Hayes-compatible modem myself by using the Serial Tool and a bunch of Hayes-commands. Is there a way around this? A new tool from Apple perhaps? Any 3rd party tool that can replace the buggy Apple Modem Tool? Any hints appreciated.
