Message-ID: <1991May29.211905.20159@bnlux1.bnl.gov> Sender: news@bnlux1.bnl.gov (sbcsvax news) Organization: Brookhaven National Lab. Upton NY 11973 Distribution: na Date: Wed, 29 May 1991 21:19:05 GMT I've installed TRRN v1.0.2 on a Sun4 running OS4.1.0, using a Decstation 5000(bnlux1.bnl.gov) as a news server. I have previously installed and run TTRN v1.0.2 on another Sun4 running OS4.1.1, however when I try to execute trn on the new machine I get: "This machine does not have permission to use the bnlux1.bnl.gov news server." Now the nntp_access file on the server contains both machines' names. One machine is given access and the other one is denied it. The message originates in clientlib.c which appears to have gotten an ERR_ACCESS return from the server. Does anyone have an idea about what could cause this problem? -- INTERNET: abrams@bnl.gov |/ | ^ BITNET: abrams@bnlux0.BITNET |\ |__ /-\
