I suspect that networking is one of the issues that Commodore is looking to address now that 2.0 is (almost) out the door. At least, it seems to me that there's a number of flaws with the current Amiga IP software, flaws that you so concisely mentioned :-), and the people who work for Commodore aren't idiots.
