After spending two fruitless days trying to do a complete reformat and
OS installation job on the hard drive in my A3000 25/100, I'm curious:

Is there any 3rd party (commercial or PD) software that actually DOES
what Commodore's hard disk installation software purports to do (low-
level format and flaw-mapping of hard disks) ?

I'll gladly post a summary of replies if interest warrants.
