NO! NO! I *REFUSE* TO BELIEVE YOU! How could the good people at ABAjumptothemiddleoftheromwhenifeellikeitdamitCUS do such a thing? #define SERIOUS (1) Someone could make a lot of money if they re-wrote Abacus's line of books almost sentence for sentence replacing bad code with good. I've been told that Abacus books are origianlly written in German. This is supposed to explain why German programmers were slower to find out about better programming techniques. The C-A books seem to not be so accessable to thenon-American countries. #define SERIOUS (SOAPBOX) If C-A had the $$$, it would be great if they could hire a German speaking Amiga programmer to translate all the C-A books into German. In that person's spare time, they could scan various Amiga magazines and spot bad programming practices (there is at least one German magazine that publishes nothing but!) and write correctly-written equivelents and submit them back to the magazine. #define SERIOUS (0) I gotta stop posting late at night. :-) Tom P.S. I feel sorry for anyone that purchases an Abacus book. I fell into the trap of buying their books in HS when I programmed the C-64. I regret even some of that. -- Tom Limoncelli tlimonce@drew.edu tlimonce@drew.bitnet 201-408-5389 "People in tight pants, moving fast."
