However, it's only 2MB, as my local dealer only received those. A 48MB 28ms hard disk *IS* fast. I got First Word Plus (second to last version) to work, but was not able to work with long pathnames on the hard disk (but this has nothing to do with running on the Mega STe). Degas messes up the screen. Degas Elite seems to work fine. Both Degas and Degas Elite seems not to be able to get started with the PI* or PC* images loaded when double clicked on these files. Notator 3.0 works (on 8MHz), however, I could not start it the usally way. Instead of clicking NOTATOR.PRG as I was used to on my 1MB ST (error msg: "p_ybox not found"), I had to click on SOFTLINK.PRG. On its turn, SOFTLINK came up with the pop-up window saying "Not enough memory", and lead me to EDITLINK.PRG to divide the memory. Setting Memory 1 partition for Notator to 1200kB and memory partition 2 to the rest available, was still not accepted by SOFTLINK. I had to subtract a few kB from the second memory partition before SOFLINK could be started which on its turn started NOTATOR. Tonight I'm gonna try the full features of UNITOR coupled with Notator, as I used it as a simple dongle(key) until now. One bad thing: The fan is kind of noisy. This is no good for being used in a (little) music studio during (synchrone) microphone recordings. -- John Janssen Check the email address in the header, as this J.v.Deventerstr.1 may have been filled in wrong by the system.
