Summary: Can you play music on an RRD42? Anyone know how? Keywords: rrd42 Message-ID: <2721@calmasd.Prime.COM> Date: 29 May 91 23:15:32 GMT Article-I.D.: calmasd.2721 Followup-To: comp.os.vms Organization: Calma - A Division of Prime Computers Lines: 21 We just received a pair of RRD42s from DEC. The interesting thing about them is that on the front panel there is a jack for a set of headphones and a volume control. There's also a pair of RCA connectors on the rear for left and right stereo sound. The documentation that comes with the drive indicates that it will read the following formats: CDROM mode-1 data disc CDROM mode-2 data disc CD audio disc Audio-combined disc And there's a little note under the audio output section indicating that support is operating system dependent. So, how do I play my audio CDs? Has anyone been able to do this?
