I've used a Perstor hard disk controller card (supports two hard disks and two floppy disks) in my Vectra QS/16, and the Perstor card lacks the serial/parallel ports provided by HP's controller card. Thus, you should be able to use a different controller card to isolate your problem. Frank Calloway
