A while back there was a discussion here about taking portables onto airliners.

Unfortunately, I neglected to pay much attention to the info. (SORRY!). Can
people please tell me what the protocol is in their parts of the world
about checking portables through security AND give me some technical
opinions about the susceptibility of disk data to the local X-rays.
