When I downloaded some of the .mid files by binary mode from site (for example, ucsd.edu /midi/scores/DMCS) to unix machines and move to MacIIsi, they are of the file type of document and my sequencer prgm Trax cannot recognize them. I changed the creator and type of the file with ResEdit and Trax recognize them when I tried to import them into Trax, but does not import at all. I think .mid files are midi files for ibm-type machine and may not be used for mac. Does anyone know about the public domain shareware/freeware to convert .mid files to midi files for mac? Many thanks inadvance. -- dokim@athena.mit.edu (Do Hyun Kim)
