A friend of mine has just gotten a IIsi and borrowing some
games from me...both shareware and retail software.  He says
that with many of the shareware programs, when he tries to load
them up, the system crashes, giving a dead mac icon and an error
code.  In the worst case, he had to shut the machine down and 
use a paperclip to remove the floppy.  All the software works
on my macplus.  My questions are:
  Does the IIsi have a design that prevents it from executing
  particular software?

  Does this sound like a system problem?  His system 6.0.7 was
  already on his hard drive when he got it.

  Is a macplus able to run more software than a IIsi.  For example,
  I noticed that Mombasa (downloaded) runs on a plus, but crashes
  a IIcx.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.
