He says that with many of the shareware programs, when he tries to load them up, the system crashes, giving a dead mac icon and an error code. In the worst case, he had to shut the machine down and use a paperclip to remove the floppy. All the software works on my macplus. My questions are: Does the IIsi have a design that prevents it from executing particular software? Does this sound like a system problem? His system 6.0.7 was already on his hard drive when he got it. Is a macplus able to run more software than a IIsi. For example, I noticed that Mombasa (downloaded) runs on a plus, but crashes a IIcx.
