HC 1.2.2 HC 1.2.5 HC 2.0 HC 2.0v2 HC 2.1 -------- -------- ------ -------- ------ System 6.0.3 :-) x x x x System 6.0.4 x :-) x x x System 6.0.5 x :-) :-) :-) :-) System 6.0.7 x x :-) :-) :-) System 7.0 x x :-| :-| :-) Notes: HyperCard 1.2.5 often "hangs" under System 6.0.7 when it tries to beep. This problem doesn't occur under System 7.0. If you occasionally need to edit a 1.x stack under System 7.0, go ahead and use HC 1.2.5. But 1.2.5 and 7.0 aren't a recommended tandem. HyperCard 2.0 and 2.0v2 will run under System 7.0 without major problems, but 2.1 runs better. See my previous posting about the incompatibilities between the 2.0 versions and 7.0. HyperCard 2.1 runs fine under 6.0.5 and 6.0.7. Kevin Calhoun jkc@apple.com
