  Hi,
  I was trying to buy a IIsi in our school's bookstore, but after checking
the price, it was hard for me to justified the purchase of si over a SE/30.

 the advantage of SE  -  semi-portable (just detach the color monitor)

The question is, actually I don't really have any, is just that I always
have a hard time deciding between a cheaper model and a newer model.  So if
you have any opion or comment on this matter, please drop me a note.
