For the life of me, I can't get it to go back to using a color background. I have tried putting the computer in 256- color mode, and then going to the general control panel, but it only gives me black & white choices. Incidentally, before this happened, I had a 64x64 color ppat (id 16) that I installed into the system. It was working fine, for a week. Does anybody know what I should do to get a colour desktop pattern back? John Feinberg SUNY Buffalo
