Message-ID: <6460@crystal9.UUCP> Date: 23 May 91 17:57:58 GMT Distribution: comp Organization: Motorola Inc., Cellular Infrastructure Div., Arlington Heights, IL Lines: 36 Is there a font that has a slashed seven like the like to use in Europe? On a similar note, is there a font that has a slashed Z? Side Note: The reason (I have heard) that Europeans slash their sevens is that their ones look decidedly like un-slashed sevens. Here is what their ones look like: /| -------- ------- / | / / | / --/-- | / / | / / One Seven Slashed Seven This is even more evident when the one is italicized and handwriting usually is naturally italicized. This also is the reason why I slash my z's, they look like two's. ----- ------- ------- / \ / / / / / -- / --/-- / / / / / / ------ ------- ------- Two Z Slashed Z -- = Enjoy! = = John DeRosa, Motorola, Inc, Cellular Infrastructure Group = = e-mail: motcid!derosaj@uunet.uu.net, n1111@applelink.apple.com = =I do not hold by employer responsible for any information in this message =
