I was running 6.0.5 on a 4Mb SE, somewhere around 1Mb used by the
system, no problem.

I bought an LC. Installed 6.0.7 on the hard disk and booted up.
System used about 1Mb, as before, which made things a little
tight on a 2Mb machine.

I bought 10Mb RAM for the LC (just for fun :-). Installed fine,
booted up. WHOA! 3Mb used by the System! What the hey?? Since
then I have upgraded to 7.0. It occupies 3Mb of RAM. I have tried
switching off *everything* that could be switched off, and it
*still* occupies 2.5Mb! Any ideas as to what might be causing
this and how I can make my system go on a diet? Thanks in
advance.
