The ability to display TrueType fonts (fonts which look good at any point size) is built in to System 7.0. The System 7.0 disks come with the standard set of TrueType fonts; to install them, you just drag them into the System file. There are (two?) disks that come with the StyleWriter printer and are also available from ftp.apple.com that contain TrueType fonts, a TrueType INIT, and the Font/DA Mover 4.1. These disks are for getting TrueType functionality under System 6.0.7. The Font/DA Mover 4.1 is included with the TrueType disks because the old Font/DA Mover (3.8) didn't recognize TrueType fonts. You don't normally need the Font/DA Mover under System 7.0, but you can grab a copy of 4.1 off the TrueType disks if you need it for special tasks (like moving fonts and DA's directly into and out of applications). I hope this clears things up a bit. << Brian >> | Brian S.
