Keywords: ispell, emacs, prefobnicating... done! Message-ID: <1991May22.012149.16253@athena.mit.edu> Date: 22 May 91 01:21:49 GMT Sender: news@athena.mit.edu (News system) Organization: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lines: 23 I have installed ispell 2.0.02 (fresh off sonata) on my NeXT, and keyed in the right incantation into my .emacs. When I run ispell-buffer (or ispell-region, unsurprisingly), my emacs prefobnicates, but then just says Done! even in buffers where I've intentionally misspelled a word something awful. I know that _some_ thing somewhere is working because ispell-word correctly flags the error. Now, I thought I had had this working at one point, but that must have been just my imagination (too late in the night and too much coffee)... Any ideas about what I need to change? From running ispell-buffer on another unix system (my Project Athena workstation), I have verified that my memory of ispell-buffer's working is actually accurate, but I can't just snarf ispell.elc off of Athena since that appears to be for a much older version of ispell. Do I just have something off my path or what? Any help will be much appreciated. -- --Danny (dquah@athena.mit.edu, dquah@dolphin.mit.edu) Dept. of Economics MIT, E52-274b, Cambridge MA 02139 Voice: (617) 253-0914 Fax: (617) 253-1330 #
