MuTeX is copyrighted, with no permissions granted.  It seems to have made its
way around half the world or so, despite this restriction.

So we come to the question:  Is there a way to contact the authors,
namely 

  Andrea Steinbach and Angelika Schofer

in order to obtain permission to change and copy the source?  This seems to
be a critical problem, from a legal perspective.
