Message-ID: <1257@teslab.lab.OZ> Date: 29 May 91 12:06:07 GMT Reply-To: charles@teslab.lab.oz.au (Charles Widepy) Followup-To: comp.unix.questions Distribution: aus Organization: Technology Evaluation Section, L.A.B., Sydney Lines: 15 I'm sure this has been asked before. I didn't keep a note of the answer because it seemed to be RTFM. Well I've searched for hours in TFM and in other places, but I can't seem to find the answer. I want to back up some source files to diskette. Unfortunately they don't all fit on one diskette. I could manually split the list of files input to cpio to create several backups, but I'm sure I heard of a way for cpio to prompt for the next backup volume (diskette). I would be most appreciative of any help. CWW -- / \ CWW charles@teslab.lab.oz.au \_.--._/ ..!uunet!munnari!teslab.lab.oz!charles
