Thanks for any help. I have it working on a Sun 3 with SunOS 4.1.1, a Sun3 with SunOS 4.1 and a Sun3 with SunOS 4.0.3. On the 4.0.3 system the -v option doesn't pick up the ".3" in 4.0.3. Also on the 4.0.3 system, uname is part of the optional System V stuff in /usr/5bin.
