I have been using Windows 3.0 for about a week, and every time I start windows it comes up with a different background .BMP image. Now, according to the manuals I have read, all I need to do to specify which .BMP I want to use for my background is to put a line in the WIN.INI file that says: wallpaper=chess.BMP (for instance). Well, I have done that, but it does not seem to work. Windows still picks a .BMP at random. I have noticed that when I quit windows and look at the WIN.INI file, the line wallpaper=X has been changed somehow by Windows itself. Is there some setting somewhere that tells Windows to pick a .BMP at random and then write that name to the WIN.INI on exit? Thanks in advance, Roggie Boone boone@athena.cs.uga.edu
