I believe it came out of the SDK. It shows the following information when running my system under normal operation: Total: 14510k GDI:53k USERE:37k Descriptors: 1024, Free:393 My question is this, Why do I have so few Descriptors? Can I increase this number? Shouldn't I have about 8K descriptors? At the time this information was recorded, I was running WinSaver, Screen Peace, Packrat 3.0, Winqvtnet. It doesn't appear to make a difference what programs are loaded. I also tried with and without QEMM and it makes no difference. My system is a Dell 425E 25 Mhz 486 with 8 Mb RAM. Any suggestions? -- Bob Weiman Internet: bweiman@whoi.edu Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Deep Submergence Lab Woods Hole, MA
