Message-ID: <1991May29.231817.8880@athena.mit.edu> Followup-To: comp.windows.open-look Sender: news@athena.mit.edu (News system) Organization: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Date: Wed, 29 May 91 23:18:17 GMT Lines: 21 Well... I just received my 386i to IPC upgrade and wanted to find out about the sound capabilities. So, I su-ed to root and did a `make all' in /usr/demo/SOUND. All went well and I fired up x_soundtool. Everything worked just as advertised *but*, when I iconified it... no icon. The icon label was there, just not the icon. Soundtool.icon is read by the iconedit utility and I can see it by running x_gaintool with `-WI soundtool.icon' set. Is this a bug or have I missed something really simple? BTW, I did a full install of the OS (4.1.1 with OW 2.0) so everything should be there. Doing `x_soundtool -xrm "*iconPixmap: soundtool.icon"' didn't work either. Running soundtool (sunview version) did give the icon. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike Wargo preferred ---> michael@agricola.mit.edu mjwargo@athena.mit.edu
