Can anyone tell me if there is a way to supply a server with an actual font
as opposed to the path to a directory of fonts?

I have a dictionary lookup application which uses some phonetic fonts.
These fonts are not typically installed in all the (hundreds) of machines
found on campus. 

Any help would be appreciated.
