I am trying to load up a machine with X processes for benchmarking purposes, and rather than use genuine X terminals to generate the processes it seems like a good idea to have a program that _simulates_ an X server generate them; ie a software simulated X terminal. Has anyone produced such a program, or anything like it? Has anyone got any experience with X benchmarks (NB: Benchmarking _clients_, not servers) to share? Mail me (I don't read this group), and I'll summarize. =.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.= = Tony Dale (tony@cosc.canterbury.ac.nz) = ========================================================================= = NZ Phone: Office +64 3 667001 ext. 6354 or 6362 Home +64 3 810813 = = NZ Fax: +64 3 642999 = = NZ Post: Computer Science Dept., University of Canterbury = = Private Bag, Christchurch, New Zealand. = =.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=.=
