I was wondering if someone could please help me find out how to get a closed captioning de-coder (I think that's what it's called) for my TV. I really don't have any idea where to go to find one. I am a *STRUGGLING* college student and am primarily looking for one that is affordable and yet of at least decent quality (in other words, I don't want to have to buy another one in a year). I'm also interested in a visual alert type of system that will let me know when someone is knocking on my door (I just moved out on my own and never realized how hard it is!) or when the phone is ringing. I assume that there is a catalog of some type that has all these types of things in it, but the question remains.....HOW DO I FIND OUT ABOUT IT? Thanks in advance for your help. Oh yes....by the way....e-mail is preferable because my access to USENET is somewhat sporadic. -- ************************************************************************* * \ Psychiatrists tell us that one out of every * * Lisamarie Babik \ four Americans is mentally ill.
