Lipreading is not 100% accurate. With my hearing aid and watch people's lips closely, I can understand about 80%. It take a while to get use to someone's lip movement. Some people talk without move their lips, for example, Barbara Walters. I watched 20/20 all the time, and unable to read her lips, so I read the captions instead.
