Greetings Susan, welcome to the Chronic Pain support message area!
I wish I had the perfect answer to your Sons problem, I do not.
Have you been in contact with Arthritis Foundation?  They may be
able to provide you with some of the needed information.  Here
locally to get you started if you can not find a local listing is
the one I found.  It is (415) 651-4940.  You might want to check
with your doctor for more information that you can learn by reading
up on the disease.  Another source may be your local library.
There are no easy answers to the problem, there never are, but by
doing our own research we can begin to learn more about our
situation and help ourselves and maybe others too.  I would also
encourage you to encourage your son to learn more about this
disease too.  As he begins to understand more about the disease it
may be easier for him to cope with it. Anton...
