Until then, #as much as I'd like to believe the 125gr JHP .357 is a 90% stopper, I guess #I'll have to stick with the "Cooperites," i.e. .45acp for me. #You'd think some enlightened, concerned people in the FBI or US military would #demand this kind of scientific study. Marshall cooking data: At least one wound ballistics professional has publicly challenged him to reveal his sources, etc., and he's steadfastly refused. If he's not cooking his data there are some incredible coincidences and the appearance of impropriety is rampant. The only people who pay much attention to Marshall's stuff are those who, like him, have some conflict of interest that inures to their benefit, or those sorely uninformed folks who read gun rags and don't use their common sense. FBI/U.S. Military: Who do you think is responsible for the modern state-of- the-art scientific wound ballistics testing recognized and used worldwide today? Col. Martin L. Fackler, M.D., founder and director of the Army's Wound Ballistics Laboratory at the Letterman Army Institute of Research, Presidio of San Francisco. Following the April, 1986 FBI massacre in Miami, the Firearms Training Unit at Quantico, VA, began using Fackler's methods of wound ballistics testing. He did, and still does, work closely with the FBI in this area.
