Last fall I was in the Orlando area during the launch of the Ulysses S/C by
Discovery. Since I also had no possibility to watch the launch from KSC, I
watched the launch activities on TV. Shortly before the liftoff I left my
appartment and could see in east direction something burning in the sky
followed by a smoky track. Nevertheless the shape of the Shuttle was unseen.
