Message-ID: <1991May30.150730.23502@wpi.WPI.EDU> Date: 30 May 91 15:07:30 GMT Sender: news@wpi.WPI.EDU (News) Organization: Information Systems Laboratory, Stanford University Lines: 29 Approved: shari@zahle.wpi.edu Originator: shari@zahle.wpi.edu Nntp-Posting-Host: zahle.wpi.edu I'm sorry if this issue has been discussed in the past. 1. Can men wear gold such as gold rings, gold bracelets, gold necklesses, etc? On a separate note, I think (correct me if I'm wrong) that one of the ways that Sunnis differ from Shi'ites is that Shi'ites have pictures (drawings) of the prophet (SAW) while Sunnis do not believe in any drawings of him. This leads me to a second question: 2. I have a golden neckless that on one side has Ali (PBUH) and on the other side has Mohammad's (SAW) picture. What are the rulings on this in Islam? Any comments?
