Obviously my query was a bit misleading, i got lots of answers missing the point. In the meantime i found a program in the literature that seems to do what i want it to do. It is called AAQUANT and it written by Richard P. Miller and Robert A. Farley. (Comput. biol. Med. 19:453 (1989)) Does anyone know something about the availability of that program or the e-mail address of the authors? Otherwise i would have to resort to snail mail, but mailing floppies across the Atlantic..
