A department at the U of I has found an application to meet their
needs but it runs on an IBM system under an inverted file system (I 
think) called MOD204 from CCA Inc.  It is quite pricy and the department
is worried that 1. everyone giving them advice about this product
has some vested interest - like making a sale. and 2.  you don't pick
up datamation and see articles like MOD204 is gods gift to database
manipulations.

They are looking for opinions as to whether MOD204 is a reasonable
thing to run under.  If in the future there is a database system which
would be better to use is there a way to extract data from MOD204
in a generic way to allow its loading into some other package.
