Yes there is.  I've got a Toshiba 5200 that I've been asked to turn on
more than once.  Three-prong plugs are always nearby.

For fun, I changed my os-prompt to:
 
     "Yes, this really is a computer and thanks for checking"

Which amuses most airport security guards.
