I am currently looking at purchasing a color scanner and was wondering
if anyone has had any experience with the following scanners and
supporting software for IBM PC's.  Please reply by e-mail and I will 
summarize.

Things that are important are:
    Storage formats (JPEG, TIFF, etc)
    Conversion (24-bit to 8-bit color, color to gray scale)
    Scanning Speed
    Filtering of colors
    Image manipulation tools

    AVR 3000/CL+
    Howtek Personal Color Scanner
    Howtek ScanMaster 3 and 3+
    Microtek MSF-300Z
    Epson ES-300C


Software:
    PC Picture Publisher (comes with the AVR)
    PhotoStyler (by U-Lead Systems -- First Looks in PC Magazine 6/25/91)

PS - If there are other items that I should check into I would appreciate
     any pointers.
