It's older than that... :-) It was late 1978 at the Ricky's Hyatt in Palo Alto, CA, when Michel Manoni told us he'd put his best tie on. He talked about some protected parts of the code (200 bytes?), that in case FORTH, Inc. folded, the code was being held in trust by a third party and it would be released.
