The context was storage from RAM to MSDOS disk files. What I did was convert each byte into its hex character code representation (I didn't care about the uneconomical use of storage). A little later I realized that the exercise was for the current purposes unncessary - I had probably misunderstood the uses of file pointer manipulations. ----- This message came from GEnie via willett.
