I had a pre-polyFORTH I for the 8080 in the late 70's also, yet Elizabeth has picked 1980 as the point when it became "real". At least in the system I was using, the "transition" was not quite complete from microFORTH. UNTIL was still END and WHILE hadn't been "invented" yet, REPEAT was AGAIN and KEY was "below" EXPECT.
