Since I didn't get any response to a previous query about problems
installing perl 3.x on an SGI PI 4D/25, I thought I would pass on the
solution to the perl 4.003 installation, which was greatly simplified by
the enhancements Larry Wall has added to his configure script.

In toke.c add the line

#undef f_next

after the line

#include <sys/file.h>

to avoid compilation problems.  The recommended compilation options
include CFLAGS = -Uf_next ... but that doesn't solve the problem.
