 Does anyone have ideas about using pick when using msh?  I can only get
it to say how many messages it matches, without message numbers.  Not
much help when searching a file with lots of messages.

 Don't tell me to 'inc' into a folder.  When the problem arises it is
usually because I long since decided I would never need to look at these
messages, but packed them into an archival file just in case.
