I have since found out that the third-party UNIBUS interface we have for it does configure as an LP11, but it actually emulates the parallel port of a DMF-32. This explains why the printer, which supposedly has a Dataproducts interface, would not work on a Convex. I can't find anything in any of my DEC catalogs that lists the QBUS equivalent of a DMF-32 or any portion thereof. I don't need the serial lines; is there anything that just provides the parallel port? We need a long line driver as well, since the printer will be about 100 feet away from the uVAX. This odd card already provides that. Thank you very much, and humble apologies for wasting the time of those people who responded to my first posting. -- Ruth Milner Systems Manager NRAO/VLA Socorro NM Computing Division Head rmilner@zia.aoc.nrao.edu
