The reason I addressed all sampler users, is that I would also like to hear from those users who are not on the IBM platform. I am looking into buying Sample Vision (the only sample editor for PC that I know of), from Turtle Beach Systems. The kind of response I am looking for is described below: o How well do the programs work? o Does (your) version allow envelope editing? (I understand that Sample Vision only edits and displays the sample, not any of the keyboards' tweaking parameters ie: ASDR points and the like). o Is it really easier to play with a sample on (your computer here), or can the same editing be done in the sampler with approx. the same amount of work. o The sampler in question is an Ensoniq EPS, and the platform is PC AT. Please e-mail or post responses, and if a good cross section of info shows up, I will post the results.
