1. Hi - I am running Minix 1.2 on an Amstrad 1640, and I have a Star
LC-10 printer. I have a problem which is simply that when I try to
print (either using lpr, or catting to lp) I get the "Printer out of
paper" error message. Any suggestions?

2. Also - I have picked up a copy of elle on the net, and it needs a termcap -
are there any public-domain termcaps floating around ?

3. Finally - I am trying to use mxkermit to log in to a Sequent from an Opus
PC2 over a Micom multiplexer, and from reading the doc, it expects tty1 to
correspond to the serial port. My question is, would tty1 just be an ordinary
tty ? Or would it have a different major dev no to any other tty ? What IS the
maj dev no for a tty anyway ?

I suspect that at least question number 2 must have been asked before, but I
have just subscribed to the list, and our newsfeed is a bit dodgy - we don't
get any minix groups.
