Summary: Modems works for awhile then just stops! Message-ID: <1991Jun04.000212.18045@lynx.CS.ORST.EDU> Date: 4 Jun 91 00:02:12 GMT Sender: @lynx.CS.ORST.EDU Distribution: orst Organization: Oregon State University, Computer Science Dept Lines: 6 Nntp-Posting-Host: prism.cs.orst.edu I connect at 2400/arq with the Oregon State University, and occasionally I want to download small files(as opposed to using crossdos for larger one) I type sz and everything starts up fine, but usually at a variable time during the download, everything just stops and I have to disconnect(I haven't found a way to regain control of the system) and call back and use the resumetransfer feature. Anybody got any ideas? I use my modem heavily(usually at HSTspeeds, but sometimes at 2400) and I've never had any probs like this. -MIC
